Adult star Alexas Morgan has been arrested in Middle East

An adult star and social media influencer was arrested in Jordan after authorities entered her hotel room during the night.

Alexas Morgan, with 5.5 million followers on Instagram, had remained quiet in recent weeks until she recently shared her situation. The 27-year-old revealed that she is currently unable to leave Jordan due to a travel ban placed on her.

She described her arrest, stating that she was taken to court by armed officers after being detained for 17 hours. Her mother expressed deep concern over her daughter’s situation, calling it “terrifying.”

Alexas, who resides in Miami, was on vacation in Jordan when she was accused of creating inappropriate content for her OnlyFans account. Although she launched her OnlyFans five years ago, she insists she wasn’t producing content during her stay. In Jordan, the creation or distribution of explicit material is illegal and punishable by imprisonment and a fine.

Recounting her arrest in Wadi Rum, Jordan, on August 17, Alexas described how a group of men, including only one in uniform, stormed her room at 3 a.m. She said they confiscated all her belongings and didn’t explain the reason for her detainment until much later. She eventually learned through a translator that she was accused of producing explicit content.

“They knew I had an OnlyFans account,” she explained, adding that she was forced to show her account to a group of men at the police station who reviewed her content.

She suspects her arrest was prompted by the hotel staff recognizing her from social media.

After 17 hours, Alexas was finally allowed to contact her family in Miami. She was taken to court without legal representation and questioned by a judge. Although she was released and moved to a different hotel, she was prohibited from leaving Jordan.

Two weeks later, authorities confirmed they had found no explicit material filmed in Jordan on her devices. However, she was informed that simply having an OnlyFans account could lead to additional charges, despite having started the account outside of Jordan years ago.

Alexas, still in Jordan, has sought help from the American Embassy, uncertain of what will happen next.

Her legal situation stems from a Jordanian law that punishes individuals who use online platforms to promote immoral acts with imprisonment and fines ranging from 9,000 to 15,000 Jordanian dinars, equivalent to £9,650 to £16,100.

Alexas’ mother, speaking from her home in Florida, shared her distress: “She’s been stuck there for over two weeks now, and I’ve been so worried. It’s terrifying, especially since they cut off her communication with me during the arrest.”

Both the Jordanian Government and the US Embassy were contacted for comments regarding the incident.
